One SSB jawan killed, 8 hurt in militant attack in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 14 (PTI): A jawan of paramilitary force SSB was killed and 8 others, including a policeman, were injured tonight when militants attacked security convoy in Zakura area on the outskirts of Srinagar.

Militants fired at the vehicles of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) which were ferrying the personnel to their camp after performing law and order duties in the city, a security force official said.

One jawan of the SSB was killed and 8 others were injured in the attack, the official said.

The injured, who included a policeman, have been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched search operations to track down the militants.

This is the first militant attack in the city since the encounter at Nowhatta on August 15 in which a CRPF commandant was killed and nine other personnel were injured.

If 'surgical strike' indeed a blow to terrorist across LOC they won't happen on Indian side.

Each passing day 56 inch is not bringing any peace to Kashmiris in Kashmir or Indian soldiers.BJP-PDP has turned the Kashmir into another Godhra.Even Punjabis are facing the tension when the crops are ready to harvest.

These thick skinned shameless Pakistani traitors will not hesitate to do anything and they pose a real threat to our country. The entire world is quite aware of their terrorist activities. It's high time for them to put an end to the atrocities they are carrying out by instigating the militants and Kashmiri people to indulge in nefarious acts of violence.

Our army has to take a strong stand against the perpetrators by shooting them at sight. That's the best and the only way to get rid of the mad dogs, once and for all. Let each one of such evil people perish from the face of the earth, once and for all. Peace talks and negotiations will not help us in anyway.

    God bless our motherland.

India & Pakistan Border is disputed and highly (completely) guarded by solders from both side. If the militant cross the border then we are not doing our job of guarding the border. If the militants are Indian Citizens then we are not doing our job of including all citizens in main stem and not giving equal opportunity, respect and fruit of Indian economy to all. We can not make fellow Citizens from Kashmir to live in 24 hours curfew or isolation for ever and it may make our fellow citizens to revolt and demand separation from Indian Dominion.

There is a saying. No smoke without fire. Here terrorist are protected by traitors. Terrorists are well informed about security force movement by these traitors so that they execute terrorist activity and vanish. India has been lineant with such traitors who are mostly locals and Pak synthesized. To stop this terror first start operation against these traitors. It will be effective move. It is many a times easy to deal with outsider but once insider becomes traitor it becomes very difficult to fight because you cannot identify enemy within. Begin anti traitor operation with our para military force and let army take on LOC. Gather intelligence Indian govt and plan well to take on enemy at all fronts. Take technology help in intelligence gathering. Take more comprehensive steps. Ad hoc steps will not help. It will multiply the current problem.

'No smoke without fire' simply means that 'there's always a reason for a rumor' and it has nothing to do with the long story you have narrated. Traitorous behavior in humans is nothing new, it's as old as history itself (remember Judas in bible?) and a nation's intelligence agencies keep an eye on the traitors, some times they just liquidate them but many a time use them to pass on disinformation to the enemy too.

One more concrete proof that there was no surgical strike as claimed by BJP but just routine cross border firing. BJP for heaven sake don't humiliate our army and undermine thier capability in front of the world. Enough is enough.
