Udupi, Dec 30: M.S. Sanjeeva, president of the Udupi District Mogaveera Youth Association (UDMYA) at a press conference  held here recently announced that a mammoth gathering of the Mogaveers D.F fishermen community of the undivided Udupi district would be held on Feb 3, 2008 on Gandhi Maidan at Kundapur.

As part of the conference a seminar will be held, where various problems and difficulties faced by the community will be discussed. The discussion will be held in the light of the unprecedented changes and intense competition in the present-day world.

The community elders and the leaders will be invited to throw light and provide solutions to the ills and shortcomings which the community has been suffering over the past several decades. About fifty thousand delegates from Ullal to Shirooru will be participating in the conference, informed Sanjeeva.

A bike rally will be organized as a prelude to the event. Satish Amin, former president of district Youth association and Dinakar Raj Kadekar, general secretary were present at the press meet.
