Sullia: Lord Subramanya temple gets new managing committee

Sullia, Oct 15: On Friday, October 14, the government appointed new managing committee for Lord Subrahmanyeshwara temple at Subrahmanya in the taluk. Subrahmanya temple is one of the most popular centres of pilgrimage in the state and as far as income generated is concerned, it occupies the top spot in Karnataka.

The state government has appointed nine members to the committee including the chief priest. The committee will be valid for three years from the date on which the orders are passed under section 25 of Religious and Charitable Endowments Act 2011.

The members appointed are the chief priest or priest of the temple, Congress leader Nityananda Mundody, Mahesh Kumar K S, Rajeev R Rai, Raveendranath Shetty, Balakrishna Gowda Balleri, K Krishnamurthy Bhat, Damayanthi Koojugodu K S, and Madhava D.
