Mangalore, Dec 30: A day-long workshop on ‘translation, the need of the hour’ will be held in St Aloysius College audio-visual room on Sunday, January 20,2008 from 9 am to 4-30 p m.

It is being jointly organized by St Aloysius Konkani Institute and Konkani Writers’ Forum, for the benefit of writers and readers, in order to improve their skills on translation of English works to Konkani and vice versa, Konkani to Kannada and vice versa. 

There will not be any entrance fee.  However, registration is necessary and the last date for registering the names is Tuesday, January 15, 2008, stated the press release.
