Puttur: Town Council to Take Action against Illegal Structures

Puttur, Dec 31: Finally the Town Council has decided to initiate strict action against all illegal structures in several complexes and building built across the city.

Meanwhile Assistant Commissioner and administrator P Vasanth Kumar has already taken stringent measures against buildings where there is no proper parking facility.  Speaking to reporters P Vasanth Kumar said that in many of the buildings even the basic amenities such as proper drinking water, toilets etc are not available.  In some places, shops have come up in the parking areas, causing problems both to vehicles and pedestrians..

It has also been observed that building owners have at times built new structure after obtaining permission only for repairs.  All these irregularities have been taken care and appropriate action will be taken against the offenders, he said.

    Yes, Puttur is a rapidly growing agricultural bussiness centre as well as education centre too. A lot of things needs to be done to improve the town, but our Puttur town planners/MCC is not doing enough to tackle the growth which will be expected in next 5-10 years.

    Today one can not walk in the streets comfortably. Shops and thier extentions are made the roads invisible. Mr.Vasanth Kumar is doing little good for the town. We should appreciate such long vision administrators.
