Newborn girl abandoned in Delhi


New Delhi, Oct 19 (IANS): A newborn girl, abandoned by her family, was rescued from here and admitted to a hospital on Wednesday, police said.

"A day old baby was found under Munirka flyover in south Delhi on Wednesday morning," said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Nupur Prasad.

"The baby was rescued by a police team and kept in AIIMS private ward nursery. A search for the parents is on," Prasad added.
