Amitabh Bachchan starts shooting 'Sarkar 3'


Mumbai, Oct 19 (PTI): Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has started filming for Ram Gopal Varma's directorial venture "Sarkar 3" from today.

The movie, which is the third in the 'Sarkar' franchise, will see Bachchan reprising his role as Subhash Nagre.

"SARKAR 3 ka pehla din !! First day !! Larger, intriguing and oh so unpredictable !!," he tweeted.

The second part of the franchise also starred Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who die in the movie, and the first shot Big B gave for the new film had Abhishek's character's picture in it.

"SARKAR 3... And today its first day and the first shot is designed with Abhishek's picture... There is apprehension as always on the first day of shoot... An entirely new environ, an entirely new set up, even if the designs of the story and characters have been indulged well in the past.

"Happens all the time and yet we never stop speaking about it. But there we are... But the director knows best and we leave it to him and his vision that is really the best way out," Bachchan wrote on his blog and also shared the on set photos.

"Sarkar 3" also stars Rohini Hattangadi, Jackie Shroff, Manoj Bajpayee, Ronit Roy, Bharat Dhabolkar, Amit Sadh and Yami Gautam.

While Shroff, who has previously worked with the director in "Rangeela," and Hattangadi will play antagonists, Bajpayee will be seen in the role of Govind Deshpande.

Ronit will play right of hand of Sarkar, Gokul Satam.
