Mumbai: Prime minister replies to letter from Karunakar Hejmadi

Mumbai, Oct 25: Karunakar Hejamadi of Hejmadi Mogaveera Sabha of Jessel park, Bhayandar East, had written to Prime Minister Modi, requesting him to pay attention to the sea shore of undivided Dakshina Kannada and get it cleaned.

The Prime Minister's office replied to his letter through the chief secretary of the  government of Maharashtra.

“The seashores of undivided Dakshina Kannada district are filled with plastic bags, water bottles, glass, rubber and other waste materials. The small shops there throw trash and make the place shabbier.The International Cleaning Day every year is only for namesake. School children are made to clean the place in the scorching heat,” said Karunakar Hejmadi in his letter.
