Mangalore, Jan 3: A new division - Tech Reliance is being started by Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (RADAG) with the intention of entering the IT consulting and services domain.
With this end in view the company has plans afoot to set up six development centers across the country by the end of December 2008. This includes plans to build centers at Bangalore and the Mangalore city initially.
RADAG group's foray into the IT market segment will begin with an initial strength of 2,000 professionals. The company is understood to have allocated an estimated sum of about USD 144.63 million annually for its IT division.
The IT division will be offering consulting services to companies in the telecom, financial services, utilities, entertainment, and healthcare sectors, in addition to serving various companies in the RADAG group.
