Mumbai, Oct 27: Former executive president of Billavara Association Mumbai spiritual committee, vice president of Shanimahatma Seva Samithi, proprietor of Ujala hotel, Bandra, hotelier Darshan D Bangera (25), passed away on Wednesday, October 26 due to cardiac arrest.
Darshan was the second son of social worker Devendra Bangera, hailing from Mulki Hejmady. He was travelling in an auto rickshaw at Mira Road East on Wednesday evening when he experienced a massive cardiac arrest. The auto rickshaw driver who understood the gravity of the situation took the auto rickshaw to the local Kanakeeya Police station. The Police, in turn, admitted him to the local hospital. But Darshan had died by then.
The dead body of Darshan was brought after postmortem to his Saikripa Housing Society residence in Bandra. National Billava Maha Mandala president and Bharath Bank executive president Jaya C Suvarna, Billavara Association Mumbai president Nithyananda D Kotian, Shanimahatma Seva Samithi president Shanker K Suvarna, honorary chief secretary Yogesh K Hejmady, office bearers, elite and friends paid their last respects to the departed soul. Vasudeva R Kotian Hejmady and others consoled the family members.
Darshan has left behind parents, a brother, a sister and a large number of friends and relatives. The last rites were held in Bandra east teacher's colony crematorium in the afternoon.
