Mumbai, Oct 28: There is no need for differences to come up when indulging in pro-Kannada work. “People of all religions and castes should work towards it,” said former member of Mangaluru University syndicate, P V Mohan.
He spoke after inaugurating a programme titled 'Kannada Chintana Malike Matthu Samskritika Saurabha' on Kannada thinking and cultural aroma held by Manjunath Education Trust on behalf of Kannada development authority.
Hradayavahini Karnataka president K P Manjunath Sagar said that pro-Kannada activities are continuously held in coastal Karnataka. “Therefore Kannada is respected by them,” he said.
Elderly social worker D D Kattemar was honored on the occasion. A Deepavali poets' conference later held by Isaac D'Souza, Badruddin, Chandrashekar Bolooru, Priya Harish, Shruthi and Indira was presided over by Kallachu Prakashana author Mahesh R Nayak. Government Women's ITI students sang Kannada songs. ITI principal, A Balakrishna was present.
