8 SIMI activists, who escaped from Bhopal Jail, killed in encounter

Oct 31 (PTI/Agencies): All eight SIMI activists, who earlier today fled from Bhopal Central Jail, have been killed in an encounter in Eintkhedi village on the outskirts of Bhopal, according to reports.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh said all 8 SIMI activists, who escaped from jail, killed in police encounter at Malikheda near Bhopal.

A high alert had been sounded following a jail break, even as the Union Home Ministry sought a report from the Madhya Pradesh government.

This was the second major jail break by operatives of banned SIMI in three years after the sensational escape by seven members of the group from a jail in Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh in 2013, reported PTI.

    Pre-planned? May be or may not be. IF it was pre-planned, then an innocent guard has been killed to prove the escape of the terrorists followed by the killing of 8 escapees before they were proved to be guilty by the Court. IF it was a jail-break, then don’t shed tears for the terrorists who deserved the punishment.
    Now the question to be asked is, where did the escapees get weapons from. It must be a high security jail and I’m sure CCTV should tell us what really happened.

    Every terrorist voilets human rights of others, so there is no reason of considering their human rights. Kill them in encounter, judicially with hanging or by torturing - choose any methods to exterminate them. Period.

    However all care must be taken before tagging anyone as a terrorists. It does not mean, wait till he strikes, but means ensure there is reasonable of evidence is collected prior to naming anyone as terrorist. Because, it is a tag, that will stay life long and beyond, even destroying even innocent families. If a truly innocent person is tricked for vengeful reason, terminating him shall make more harm to the society.

    The story of escaping a prison and all of them getting killed in an encounter within a short duration looks absolutely fake encounter.

    What was the reason for encounter when there was no retaliation?? This was a preplanned encounter.

    A thorough impartial inquiry is needed. At night the internal area is to be lit and locked so that no prisoner can come out of his place. 8 of them coming out of their locked area is something unusual. There is a siren system which activates if the prisoners try to scale the wall. Assuming that the siren system failed, do you think all the 8 of them would run in the same direction? Unfortunately there is no witness to the encounter. They could have been shot to capture but here it looks like shot to kill so that none was alive to tell the truth. Hope there is a CCTV to capture or was it deliberately deactivated?
