Mangaluru: Ornaments' thief in Gorigudda arrested within two days

Mangaluru, Oct 31: Pandeshwar station police have arrested Manjunath (40), from Ullal Ombathukere Someshwar on suspected theft of jewellery worth Rs 92,800 from the house of Jayashree in Gorigudda here on October 28.

The suspect had come to the house in the guise of requesting for drinking water on October 27 at 2.10 pm. The person fled after snatching the purse kept on the table in the house, while Jayashree had gone to the kitchen to bring water for him. Jayashree complained to Pandeshwar police station about this.

Pandeshwar police inspector, Belliappa K U on getting definite clues, took Manjunath from the city service bus stand into custody on October 28 at 10 am and questioned him. The jewellery stolen from the house of Jayashree was found with him.

PSI Anantha Murdeshwara and staff helped in the operation.
