Pained at loss of soldiers' lives: Parrikar

Panaji, Oct 31 (IANS): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday said he was pained at the death of Indian security personnel while defending their country.

"For every jawan who has lost his life, I always feel the pain; so, to that extent, I salute them for their courage, bravery...," Parrikar said when asked about the killing of soldiers along the Line of Control in recent times.

Parrikar, visiting Goa to inaugurate a multi-level parking complex in state capital Panaji, said the army headquarters regularly briefs him on the issue.
