Kundapur, Jan 5: "Education is limitlessly significant" declared Alban Rodrigues, principal of Kaup Dandatheertha College while speaking on the occasion of the 5th annual day function of the PUC students at St Mary’s College in Kundapur.
Moreover according to him education without culture, education without human values is useless. The role played by educational institutions is therefore of high value, as it would enable students to determine the best it can offer and use it accordingly, he added.
The parish priest and the correspondent Fr Antony Lobo presided over the occasion. Addressing the students gathering Fr Antony Lobo said that with the inculcation of human values in education students would not only go ahead in life but also help the nation in its all-raound development."
Dr. Rainy Wilson and Basil D’Souza were the chief guests on the occasion. Among thse present on the dais were also the college students’ leader Joyson Fernandes, Glaris Almeida and Ameer.
Beena Suresh, vice principal of the college welcomed the gathering. Fr. Prakash Cutino, principal read out the college report. The lecturer Philiph Lopes proposed the vote of thanks. While Rehunuma Shaikh monitored the program.
At the close, the college and its old students enacted cultural and variety entertainment programmes.
