Tilda Swinton reveals her superpower

Hong Kong, Nov 2 (IANS): Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton, who plays a martial arts mystic in the forthcoming Marvel Studios' film "Doctor Strange", says she has a superpower too.

"I'll tell you the strangest thing about me. This is a superpower... I can find things. If anyone in my house loses something, they come to me and say, 'I've lost my phone.' 'I've lost my keys." And I find them. I don't know how I do it," Swinton said here during a round table interview with a select group of media, including IANS.

"It's very odd. I don't know why. It happens very often and in fact the people familiar with me tend to rely on it. I have an agent who is delightful and very capable, and when he travels with me, he is supposed to look after me. He occasionally hides his passport somewhere and I have to find it," she added.

Talking about her character in the Scott Derrickson directorial, which will hit the Indian screens on November 4, the British actress said The Ancient One in the comics is different from the one played by her.

"He is a male and is visibly ancient, whereas I am just ancient. He is also of Asian origin and has a long beard. What was important was to find the common denominator between us, so we started with the idea of perspective."

"Someone who has lived that long and someone who has seen as much as The Ancient One has seen, has a perspective which, in my interpretation, leads to a sense of relaxation and an absolute lightness of touch. There is nothing heavy at all about The Ancient One," said the 55-year-old.
