Shivamogga, Nov 3: Yuvamitra, the youth commission of the diocese convened its 5th diocesan youth convention from October 28 to 30 on the campus of Sacred Heart Cathedral here.

650 youth of ICYM, YCS/YSM and Don Bosco Youth actively participated in the event. The three day long convention consisted of different activities like teachings of the church, interactive workshops, youth masses and meditations, awesome music, group dynamics, cultural evening, faith walk, youth rally for peace, Swatch Bharath Andholan and awareness programmes with street plays in public places.

The programme was organized by ICYM and YCS/YSM diocesan office bearers under the able leadership of Fr Ronald Veigas, diocesan youth director of Shivamogga.
