Mangaluru, Nov 3: The annual parish feast of St Martin De Porres Church, Belvai was celebrated on Thursday, November 3.

Parishioners, devotees in large number took part in the solemn Eucharistic celebration concelebrated by 15 priests of the deanery parishes, and two deacons.

Fr Paul Sequeira, Dean, Moodbidri deanery was the main celebrant.

The day’s program began with the distribution of honours. The sponsors of the feast were honoured with a candle personally by the Parish Priest Dr William Barboza.

The church surroundings got a festive look right from the Confraternity Sunday, as part of the parish feast preparation, celebrated on October 30. The feast day on Thursday witnessed all kinds of stalls in the church premises - sweets, entertainment, games and toys, clothing, juices, ice-creams and so on. The entire celebration was filled with faith, fun and frolic.

Parish choir group led by Fr Jesudas, sung melodies hymns and added more meaning to the feast liturgy.

Dr William Barboza, Parish Priest in his thanksgiving, addressed and wished all  for the feast and thanked each and everyone involved in making the feast a grand success.

Fr Kenneth Crasta, Asst Parish Priest Alangar Parish conducted the Adoration Service.
