Mangaluru, Nov 5: St Agnes PU College under the aegis of Kannada Sangha ‘Hanathe’ commemorated Kannada Rajyotsava with joy, vigour and pride. The programme, ably compered by Sahana and Varsha included a medley of colourful dances, songs, a skit and a power point presentation on the unique and glorious cultural heritage of the state which turned sixty this year.
It concluded with a rousing rendition of the state song ‘Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate.’ Dr Sudha, ‘Sangeeta Kalanidhi’ graced the occasion as the chief guest and spoke about the need to inculcate the love for Kannada language and to create awareness about the rich literary culture of Karnataka in every student.
