Kundapur, Nov 7: A first year PUC student committed suicide by hanging himself in his room at Kenchanooru, Hattiangadi grama panchayat limits here.
The deceased is identified as Rajesh (16), son of Sheena, a resident of Kenchannoru. He was a science student at Nempu Government Pre-University College. It is said that he did not want to study but was going to college due to persuasion by his family.
Rajesh had not gone to the college for the last four days and had committed suicide on the morning of Monday, November 7.
He has left behind his parents, elder brother and younger sister. A police case is registered in Kundapur police station. The college declared a holiday.
