Udupi: Thieves hoodwink, decamp with ornaments from jewellery shop

Udupi, Nov 8: Thieves who entered a jewellery shop in the guise of customers have hoodwinked the shop owner and decamped with jewellery worth rupees one lac at Moodubelle.

The incident happened at Akash Jewellers in Moodubelle on November 7. The thieves while speaking to the shop owner Harischandra Achar escaped with jewellery when he turned to look elsewhere.

Gold chain, Karimani beads and other jewellery are missing. Their misdeed is recorded in the shop's CC camera. A complaint is registered at Shirva police station.
