Bantwal, Jan 7: Former chief minister Yeddyurappa has cautioned the BJP activists to be wary of anti-BJP propaganda initiated by Congress leader Veerappa Moily and others.
Speaking at the BJP people's awareness drive, near taluk office here on Monday January 7, he said that during the reign of JD(S) - BJP-led coalition government he had presented two budgets for the welfare of the common people in Karnataka. This would help the BJP to come to power in the state during the forthcoming election, he asserted.
Speaking on the occasion BJP state president and MP D V Sadananda Gowda said that there are 4 groups in the district Congress, headed by Janardhan Poojary, Oscar Fernandes, Veerappa Moily and Ramanath Rai. They will be coming before the voters during elections in different forms. The voters should beware of them, he cautioned.
Senior RSS activist Narayan Shettigar inaugurated the drive.
Former ministers Shivanand Naik, Nagaraj Shetty and Dr V S Acharya, MLCs Shobha Karandlaje and Veeraiah, former MLAs Prabhakar Bangera, Yogish Bhat and Padmanabha Kottari, zilla panchayat vice-president Jayashree Kodandur, BJP leaders Nalin Kumar, Anwar Manippady, Kodman Kantappa Shetty and others were present.
Earlier, the procession was held from Jodumarga to taluk panchayat office.
