Mangalore, Jan 8: Dr Ganesh S Pai, former president of the Indian Association of Dermatologists and medical director at Derma-Care Skin and Cosmetology Centre, inaugurated the Andhra Pradesh state Dermatology and Cosmetology conference held at Warrangal recently.
In his address he said that there is a need to serve a growing population with cosmetic problems such as moles, scars, acne, hair loss and vitiligo. He also emphasized the need for proper training with dermatologists having vast experience in this field. Dr Pai invited dermatologists to work at his centre to gain such knowledge.
‘Today, there is a need for giving back to society portion of our time, expertise and financial help so that nobody feels left behind for want of finance,’ he added. He entreated the dermatologists to hold free camps in the peripheries of cities where quality dermatology care is not available.
K Damayanti, district collector of Warrangal was felicitated by Dr Pai who also offered mementoes to Dr V Ramesh, president, IADVL, AP state conference chairman and organizing secretary.
