Kundapur: Recovery of country bombs - one held

Kundapur, Nov 10: In connection with the recovery of country bombs from Ballimane at Madamakki village of the taluk on Tuesday November 8, Amasebail police sub-inspector, Sudarshan, and his team of policemen succeeded in arresting an accused from Mandi Moorukai on Wednesday November 9.

The arrested accused has been identified as Bharat Shetty, resident of Marmannu village. The other accused, Prabhakar Shetty from Madamakki Huyyaru, is absconding, policemen stated. These two have been named in the first information report registered in Amasebail station. They have been accused of illegally entering the reserve forest area and planting four country bombs there with the specific purpose of hunting down wild animals.

The country bombs were found in Ballimane Huyyarumkki area of the reserve forest by forest patrol squad staff, Mukri Zaheer Abbas, Uday Kumar, and Rony. They then filed a case at Amasebail police station.
