Mangaluru, Nov 12: An incident of self immolation was reported from Kamblakody at Mariyammagoli within the limits of Konaje police station. An old man doused kerosene on himself before igniting fire.
The victim happens to be Dejappa Poojary. He was living with his wife at his home. The couple has a daughter, who has been married.
The couple had started building a new house recently, and most of the construction work was over. On Thursday, Dejappa set himself afire in front of the new house. Reasons for this suicide are not known.
A case about this incident was filed at Konaje police station.
