Udupi: Teenaged College Girl Raped - Accused Arrested

Udupi, Jan 10: A student accused of raping a teenaged girl at Indrali here recently has been ramanded to judicial custody till Thursday January 17.  

The accused, Nadeem (18), a II PUC student residing in a rented flat was friendly with a 16-year-old girl studying in one of the reputed colleges at Kunjibettu near here. According to reports, he invited her to his house when his family members had gone to Mangalore, under the pretext of teaching accounts, where he allegedly raped her.

The girl, hailing from Madikeri has been residing in a girls' hostel. A case has been registered by Manipal police in this regard.
