Udupi, Jan 10: The Principal Civil Judge, Junior Division, Udupi, has adjourned hearing of the case seeking permanent injunction against Puttige Mutt pontiff Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji ascending the Paryaya Sarvajna Peetha, for Thursday.
On Wednesday, as many as six advocates from Bangalore, made their arguments on behalf of the plaintiffs -Nagaraj Achar and Harish Bhat- supporting their claim of representing the devotees and also against Putthige mutt pontiff Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji ascending the Sarvajna peetha as per his Paryaya right.
Advocate for Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji, Alevoor Sripathi Acharya, though made his argument against the claim of representing the devotees, sought one day time to make argument on the issue of ascending the peetha.
''We need to study the affidavit filed on Wednesday by the plaintiffs. The trail on the case was not expected to begin before January 16'', Sripathi Acharya said.
