Mangaluru, Nov 14: Due to Sec 144 in the commissionerate limits, meeting organised by various Muslim organisations of twin district against interference of central government was postponed, said K S Masood, president of Muslim central committee of Dakshina Kannada district.

Addressing media persons here at hotel woodland on November 14, Masood said "The stabbing incidents occurred in Konaje, Ullal and I do not understand why Sec 144 is imposed here in Mangaluru. The police department asked us to cooperate; thus we have postponed it. We will announce the schedule for next meet shortly."





Vice president of the committee, Ibrahim Kodijal reiterated, "We respect the law of the land. Due to sec 144, we have postponed the convention which was to be held tomorrow."
