Mangalore, Jan 10: 'Learning is a never ending process. The day a person arrives at a conclusion that learning is over, he is dead,' said Fr Francis Serrao, rector of St Aloysius institutions.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a national workshop on 'Bio-techniques in Life Sciences' at St Aloysius College here on Thursday January 10, he said that teachers are responsible for the formation of all professions. The future of the youth lies in the hands of teachers, he opined.

Fr Dr Leo D'Souza, an international scientist, inaugurated the workshop. Dr Smitha Hegde, HoD of biotechnology of the college was present on the occasion.

Fr Swebert D'Silva, principal of the college, welcomed the gathering.

Lecturers from various colleges in and around Mangalore are participating in this workshop, which is being held for two days under the guidance of Dr Asha Abraham, Madhumati and Avita D'Silva.
