Mangaluru: Collision of motor bikes - pillion rider dies, three others injured

Mangaluru, Nov 15: In a collision between two more bikes which happened opposite KSRTC bus stand at Bejai in the city on Sunday November 13, four persons had suffered serious injuries. Out of them, one died in a private hospital here on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Yogesh Kamath (47), a resident of the city. He was riding the pillion of a motorbike being driven by Chandrahas. When this motorbike took a U-turn opposite KSRTC bus stand, another motorbike in which Rajkumar (53) and his daughter-in-law, Nandita (35) were seated, came from the direction of Bijai towards KSRTC bus stand. These two motorbikes got involved in a collision, and all the four were injured.  Yogesh Kamath had suffered serious injuries as his head hit the divider.

All the four had been admitted into a private hospital immediately. Yogesh breathed his last on Monday without responding to efforts made to save him. A case about the incident was filed in Kadri (traffic east) police station.
