Shivamooga, Nov 15: In a tragic incident which happened near national highway at Dasakoppa Circle of Anandapuram in the district on Monday November 14, a girl student came under the wheels of her school bus and died instantly.
The ill-fated girl, Pavani (6), studying at a private school located at Khaira village near Anandapuram, died in this incident. She was the daughter of Gopal, a local auto rickshaw driver.
Pavani had returned by the school bus after school hours and got down near her home. As there was a mound of earth near the spot, Pavani who stepped on it, slipped back and came under the wheels of the school bus. The bus driver, who was unaware of this development, moved the bus ahead, as a result of which the skull of the girl was crushed under the wheels of the bus.
