Kasargod: Gang of five using fake credit cards nabbed

Kasargod, Nov 18: A gang of five, which had tried to buy gold ornaments from a jewellery shop here by using fake credit cards standing in the names of American citizens was taken by police into custody on Thursday November 17.

A police team led by station house officer of the town station here, Abdul Rahim, made these arrests. The gang, after buying gold jewellery, had offered to pay the price through credit cards. The jewellery store employees grew suspicious at the movements of the gang and conveyed information to the police. The policemen went to the shop thereafter and took all the five into custody.

The policemen said that the use of these credit cards caused debit to the accounts of American citizens.  They have found that the details were hacked and fake card was created by using the details. Policemen have been investigating the crime further.
