Mangalore: Bunder Police Seize Tiger Skin, Arrest Two

Mangalore, Jan 11: Bunder police are again on news. This time they have arrested two persons for possessing tigers’ skin on Friday January 11.

The arrested persons have been identified as Hasainar (34), resident of Badaje in Manjeshwar and H Raghuram, resident of Hosabettu in Manjeshwar. The police have seized a total of two tigers’ skins worth Rs 6 lac.

The accused were suspiciously waiting for the customers, with two bags at near old bus stand on Thursday evening. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested them with bags. During interrogation the accused spilled the beans and confessed that they brought tiger skin from Kerala and were waiting for the customers.

With the direction of DySP D Dharmaiah, Bunder station inspector Umesh G Shet, sub-inspector Kiran, Narayan Byndoor, Shashikant, Bhaskar Kamath, Umesh Hosolike, Mohan K V, Damodar K V and others participated in this operation.

One can recall that, Bunder police had arrested two Sri Lankans along with fake credit cards who were collecting funds for LTTE.
