Four young filmmakers honoured at NFDC Film Bazaar


Panjim, Nov 25 (IANS): Four young filmmakers were recognised for their films at the recently concluded NFDC Film Bazaar here.

"Once Again" directed by Kanwal Sethi and "Buddhagram" by Kabir Mehta received Facebook awards on Thursday. They were selected for Work in Progress (WIP) and Film Bazaar Recommends (FBR) segment respectively.

The WIP segment was mentored by film critic Derek Malcolm, producers Marco Mueller, Philippe Bober and Olivia Stewart, editor Jacques Comets and Soren Ebbe.

On the other hand, "The Gold-Laden Sheep and the Sacred Mountains" by Ridham Janve and "Sexy Durga" (A Malayalam film) by Sanal Kumar received Prasad Digital Intermediate Award. They were also selected for the WIP and FBR segment respectively.

The 10th NFDC Film Bazaar, which started on November 20, offered various interesting sessions, celeb talks and opportunities for young filmmakers and enthusiasts.

Bollywood and international celebrities like Philip Lee, A.R. Rahman, Imtiaz Ali, and Shabana Azmi talked about Indian films, conducted masterclasses, exchanged ideas and inspired budding filmmakers at the gala.
