Mangaluru, Nov 26: A beautiful podium was constructed on Miracle Hill in Mudipu where St Joseph Vaz knelt down and prayed. The statue of the saint brought in procession from Rosario Church when the saint was canonized was installed on the podium.

Bishop of Mangaluru, Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza blessed the podium and presented it to the devotees.

Fr Benjamin Pinto, director of the shrine; Alwyn D'Souza, deacon; Roshan D'Souza, vice president of the parish pastoral council; Gulabi D'Souza, head of St Antony ward, Four Winds Advertising Company director E Fernandes and thousands of devotees were present.
