Long-time desire to work with Suriya: Selvaraghavan

Chennai, Nov 27 (IANS): Filmmaker Selvaraghavan, who has announced his next yet-untitled Tamil project with Suriya, says that it's been his long-time desire to work with the "Singam" star and he is thrilled about the collaboration.

"We wanted to work together right after 'Kadhal Kondein', but it took us over a decade to finally collaborate. I'm very thrilled, and I can assure that it won't be a simple, commercial film. This is a project that requires a lot of research," Selvaraghavan told IANS.

The film will be bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures, and Selvaraghavan finds them to be highly professional.

"They are very professional, young and raring to go. This is the kind of people we need in the industry," he said.

Asked when work on the project will start, he said: "It has started the minute we officially announced the film. Pre-production has already started in my head and it's just a matter of time before we get on the ground."

Selvaraghavan, however, confirmed that the shooting of Suriya's project will only commence after he wraps up a yet-untitled film with Santhanam, which he plans to start shooting from December.

Suriya, meanwhile, will complete work on Vignesh Shivan's "Thaana Serntha Kootam".
