Plastic currency notes to be printed soon

New Delhi, Dec 9 (IANS): Soon, plastic currency notes will be printed in India. The procurement process for the required material has already been initiated, Parliament was informed on Friday.

"It has been decided to print bank notes based on plastic/polymer substrate. The process of procurement has been initiated," Minister of State for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.

Meghwal said that on December 11, 2015 it was informed by the Reserve Bank of India that they received some Rs 1,000 denomination without the security thread.

These notes were printed at the Currency Note Press at Nashik in Maharashtra on paper supplied by Security Paper Mill (SPM), Hoshangabad, the minister said.

An enquiry was initiated by the Security Printing and Minting Corp of India Ltd (SPMCIL) and the units involved, SPM and Currency Note Press.

"Major penalty chargesheet has been issued to personnel concerned. Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated," he said.

"Action has been taken to strengthen quality procedure and online inspection system in manufacturing process. A new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been prepared and implemented," he added.

Special training has been given to concerned persons to avoid such mistakes in future and additional inspections have been introduced to ensure defect-free production, Meghwal said.

Fellow countrymen! here is the truth,Now listen with open heart. As a Christian I believe that all these are beginning of the one world Govt rule preparation.

Holy bible Verse Revelation Chapter 13:16-18 God talks about Number 666.Without this number no man can buy or sell! For rich and poor, free or bond. Everyone on this planet! Its smart chip! Its serious folks.. Its further says...This number will be given in the right hand or forehead!(Inside your skin) I think soon all these paper money ,Plastic money,Credit or debit cards are replaced by secure and safe RFID Microchip inside your skin,so that no man can steal your money! Sick really. Its happening and world is ready for it.

Bible Revelation 13: 16 The second beast forces all people—important and unimportant, rich and poor, free and slaves—to be marked on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that no one may buy or sell unless he has the mark, which is the beast’s name or the number of its name.

18 In this case wisdom is needed: Let the person who has understanding calculate the total of the beast, since it is a human multitude and the sum of the multitude is 666!

Have doubt Please read it yourself!

Already 2000 rupees fake notes are spread across the country including terrorist camps. Why Modi govt changing the goal post everyday on Demonetization & re-monetisation issue. What is the use of spending too much money on this scheme??? BJP govt totally confused after utter flop this stupid scheme, now they are struggling to come out from this mess.

In spite of all Indians together since 1857, it took 90 years to get independence.

But I am sure with sickulars want to defeat the system, but still Modi do not take more than 90 days to solve the problem.

Changing goalpost is strategy to confuse black money holders. You need not worry as long as you don't have black money.

    Modi is Not Saint...

As he claimed in One of Speech in GOA he left his Family for India, but Truth is did he have the facilities what he have now ? was he travelling around the world and wasting our money ? he was a CHAIWALA as he claimed, so what he is enjoying now he never had before, so he did not sacrifice anything , yes but because of his Foolish Promises and DEMONETISATION Step there are around 80 people who  lost their life, which cannot be replaced...

So we are at one month of the demonetization disaster unleashed upon the nation by Modi & his team.

Not to forget some obscure Pune-based 'think tank' who sold a dumb idea to a PM, who has a finance ministry & Niti Aayog to turn to for advice.

From day one, Govt has been trying to wriggle out of the mess by making up various excuses as it goes along.

When making the announcement Modi said the main target was BLACK MONEY & that the pain would last 2-3 days.

Then his Finance minister Jaitley said the main target was FAKE CURRENCY & that the pain would last a couple of weeks. However, then news started coming out of the new currency being easily faked, that reason was no longer put forth.

Then our loudmouth defense minister, Manohar Parrikar, claimed how the measure had stopped terrorist attacks. Soon thereafter, we had the Nagrota terror attack & that reason was also put to rest.

After a few days, when it became clear that the exercise was failing, Modi asked for 50 days, laughed at those not having money for weddings & said corrupt were standing in queues.

When that backfired, he sent his 97 year old Mom to stand in a queue for some PR, but people didnt respond to that either.

Next, Modi tried to use some good old fashioned crocodile tears - but everyone mocked him for that too.

After a full 2 weeks, Niti Aayog, who had been anonymous till now, sent Bibek Debroy to an interview with Karan Thapar where he claimed the main reason for the 2000 Rs note was EASIER COUNTING.

After 3 weeks of the disaster, the Make in India leader, Amitabh Kant, claimed the long term goal of demonetization was DIGITAL INDIA.

Meanwhile, Ashok Malik, a right-wing analyst claimed that the exercise was to promote a behavioral change to force people into banking system!

I wont even get into the 'Dharmic' reasons given in the RSS blog magazine, Swarajya.

Now after a full month, with banks running short of cash everyday & long queues outside ATMs, the main reason being given is CASHLESS INDIA.

Is anyone, except the hardcore Modi Bhakts, even buying this nonsense anymore?

    True Indian,

    Precisely,
and, All those criminals who involved in Black Money, Fake currency, Terrorist funding, Smuggling, Drugs dealing, human trafficking etc., had an opportunity to their filthy income under IDS scheme by paying 45% till end of September. They got another life now offered by Modi to pay 50% tax and clean all the filth.

So, the criminals get opportunity after opportunity when they are supposed to be behind bars.

The one who suffer in the long queues at bank are the common man with no single penny of black money in their pocket.
    Now, who got what???

I have used Canadian Dollars and some other currencies made of polymer/plastic. They remain clean and for longer period. But, unlike paper, they are not easily foldable and after folding, the folded mark remains.

    Santan,

Even Australian Currency is made up of Plastic, which cannot be folded easily. Moreover it is difficult for any body to write any thing on these notes.

Is this new notes will have in built 'chip' which can relay signals to 'Mangalyaan'? Is it going to send signals to income tax officers which will then excavators to dig deep in the earth recover 'black money'?

Fake currency of Rs 2000 is already flooded the market in the absence of originals.Confused citizens now fail to understand which one is genuine or fake.

It seems like government is another plan to recall the Rs2000 notes which has same security features than earlier.

At Least this time citizens of India can make 'raincoat' if there is one recall.

    Jai hind
