Demonetisation will change India; exploitation of middle class will be history: PM

Banaskantha, Dec 10 (Zee News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the demonetisation decision was taken to strengthen the hands of the poor of the nation.

Addressing a rally in Gujarat's Deesa, the Prime Minister said, before November 8 everybody was concerned only about Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes and no body used to care about the small denomination notes.

PM Modi claimed demonetisation decision has helped in tackling the menace of black money, corruption and counterfeit currency.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top leader further claimed that the countrymen who had joined the Maoists movement are surrendering.

With government's decision on banning high denomination currency notes, we have been successful in weakening the hands of terrorists and also those in fake currency rackets,” the PM said.

Taking pot shots at the Opposition for continuously disrupting Parliament session over demonetisation, PM Modi said, “The Parliament is not being allowed to function; even President Pranab Mukherjee who has tremendous political experience, has expressed his anguish over repeated disruptions.”

“Government has always said we are ready to debate. I am not being allowed to speak in Lok Sabha so I am speaking in the Jan Sabha,” the PM asserted.

“From the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbahi Patel I want to share something with my friends in the Opposition. During elections we indulge in a lot of heated debates, but we all call for increased voter turnout. Likewise you can oppose me, but do teach people about banking, using technology for financial transactions,” the PM said.

The PM appreciated and thanked people for supporting the demonetisation move.

He reassured the nation that situation will normalise in 50 days and urged the people to back him in this bold move saying, "This is a major step to rid the nation from corruption.”

He appealed to the people to get adopt digital mode to do payments.

“India wants to progress. Corruption and black money is slowing our progress and adversely affecting the poor. These evils have to end,” the PM exhorted, adding, “The games of looting the poor and exploiting the middle classes will now be history.”

and as per CMIE cost of Demonitisation is nearly 1.2 Lakh crore.

Hundreds of reports coming where crores of currency in new notes are getting caught. If corrupt people already have access to soo much of notes, that too when withdrawal limit is only INR4,000 one can imagine the extent of Modi scam. This is a scam of mega portion, could be one that can be heavier than all the SCAMS counted togethor in India.

With middle and lower middle class is already exploited and cornered to the wall with demonitization. It is a history by itself where a elected govt is exploiting weaker section of the society.

Demonetization took 80 middle class lives, Entire business collapsed, farmers are suffering, Lakhs of people lost their jobs. But this shameless man saying that no more exploitation. Nobody going to believe him anymore. BJP having 282 seats in the Loksabha but still they afraid to go for voting on demonetization issue.
That shows they have no trust on their own MPs, they may vote against Modi and govt will fall down. Black money still there, counterfeit notes circulation is increased, cross border terrorism is increasing day by day. Then what is the use of this Demonetization????

Nothing will change overnight, terror attacks haven't stopped, while more & more of your partymen getting caught with bundles of new currency notes which proves your partymen got their share while others have to wait in ques still.
Nothing will improve the situation unless most of the money gets monetized again.
Co-ops are the backbone of rural economy & not the banks, they should be included in distribution of currency & unless all the ATMs are functional 24x7 which is a long term process which might take another 6 more months, the situation will remain as if we are in Economic Emergency.
The back of black money is not broken but the back of our Economy itself is broken.
