Mangalore: Rs 2 Crore Auditorium for Zilla Panchayat

Mangalore, Jan 22: The foundation stone for zilla panchayat auditorium was laid at the ZP office premises here on Monday January 21.

The foundation stone was laid by ZP president Sucharita Shetty.

According to the plan the basement will be of 500 square meters with parking facilities, and the ground floor will be 635 square meters. The auditorium will have a seating capacity of 200. There will also be toilets and a rest room. The first floor will be 505 square metres having a capacity of 150 seats. 

The estimated cost of the auditorium is Rs 2 crore of which Rs 1.5 crore has already been approved.

    Zilla Panchayat, cannot even mantain the buildings what they have now. Citizens should have a look outside and walk inside the building to find the disorder around. These people do not have money to spend for country road repairs or drinking water provisions.But they have 2 crores plus for their Auditorium. Honest military rule is better than corrupt democracy.
