Lonavla, Dec 18 (IANS): Rapper Badshah's performance on the first day of Absolute Enchanted Valley Carnival here was cut short when police officials intervened to stop the event as it was going beyond the permitted time limit.

Badshah was on Saturday one of the key performers of the Terra stage of the event held at Aamby Valley City, where actor Farhan Akhtar also performed along with his band -- Farhan Akhtar Live.

Starting the show with some of his hit songs like "Saturday Saturday" and "Break-up song", Badshah amplified the party mood of the audience.

However, the performance had to stop as it crossed the time limit of 10:00 p.m. at the intervention of the police.

The excited audience waited for a while and shouted "We want Badshah, we want Badshah", but he had to leave the stage.

The timing for Terra stage was running late, from the schedule. Badshah started his performance around 9:30 p.m. and since 10:00 p.m. was the deadline, he had to stop, and this disappointed his fans.
