Dec 19 (Agencies): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday slammed opposition parties for disrupting the proceedings in Parliament and accused them of protecting the corrupt.
While addressing the Parivartan Rally in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi said when there was a Rs 1000 note was in use nobody cared for Rs 500 and Rs 100 notes, however, since November 8 the value of Rs 100 is being seen by the people.
Lauding the initiative of digital payments post demonetization Modi said history will not remember the Prime Minister who brought about this revolutionary change in eradicating corruption, but will remember the people who implemented it.
He also said that the government is vigilant and raids are being conducted country wide to track those who have stashed black money.
He also welcomed the Election Commission's efforts to rid political parties of black money.
