Mumbai, Dec 20: A compilation of fun writings by senior journalist, writer and joint secretary of Somanath Karkera was released at a programme held at Mysuru association auditorium, Matunga east on Saturday evening December 17. Renowned author and columnist Ravi R Anchan released the works.

Well known author Dr Sunitha M Shetty presided over the programme. Kannadiga Kalavidara Parishathu vice president Kamalaksha Saraf was present as chief guest. Mumbai Kannada Sangha president Gururaj S Nayak gave the keynote address. Vice president Dr S K Bhavani welcomed the gathering. Sumangala Shetty sang a prayer song. Sushila S Devadiga and Rajani Devadiga group sang a local folk song.

Women''s wing executive president Rajani V Pai, Dr G P Kusuma, Sharada Ambesange, Durgappa Koteyavar introduced the guests. Honorary chief secretary Sathish N Bangera, library officer S K Padmanabha and office bearers presented flower bouquets to the guests and honored them. Harish K Hejmady compered the programme. Kannada Sangha honorary treasurer Sudhakar G Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.
