Mumbai, Dec 27: Bhandary Seva Samiti held their anniversary and friendship meet for 2016 at St Lawrence School auditorium, Thane Wagle Estate, Thane on Sunday, December 25. Uday Shetty, chief guest lit the traditional lamp and set the day long programme in motion.

Seva Samiti president advocate Shekar S Bhandary presided over the programme. All India Tulu Okkoota president Dharmapal U Devadiga, Bollywood actor and CID fame artiste Harish Vasu Shetty, Kachuru Srinageshwara temple Barkur president, managing trustee Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary, Bhandary Maha Mandala president Sadashiva Bhandary, Sakleshpura were present. They presented scholarships to the children in the community, and talent awards to Salogi S Bhandary, Swathi S Bhandary, Navin Bhandary, Kunal Bhandary, Saurabh Suresh Bhandary and others and congratulated them. The guests felicitated Umesh Hegde Kadthala, Kishore Pilar, Nagaraja Gurupura, Rajesh Hegde, Harish Hegde, Manohar Shetty Nandalike and others.

Committee honorary chief secretary Vijaya R Bhandary, honorary treasurer Karunaker B Bhandary, advisory committee executive president advocate Sunder G Bhandary, women's wing executive president Shobha Suresh Bhandary were on the dais.

Bhandary community leaders in Maharashtra and office bearers of Bhandary Seva Samiti were present. Ria Ranjith Bhandary sang a prayer. Vice president R M Bhandary welcomed everyone. Joint secretary Shashidhar Bhandary introduced the guests. Joint secretary Purushotham G Bhandary and women's wing joint secretary Saritha K Bangera compered the hall programme. Vice president Prabhakar P Bhandary proposed the vote of thanks.

Community members presented a cultural programme. Udupi's Jayasheela Bhandary and party presented 'Mayada Daiva', comedy skit and members of the organization performed 'Malthinaklu Thinper' tulu drama.
