Mangalore, Jan 29: A one day workshop entitled 'Technology Development Demonstration Programme’, was organized jointly by the DK administration, Kanara Chamber Commerce and Industry and District Committee for Science and Technology of DK, here on Tuesday January 29 at the KCCI premises near Bunder here.

The primary objective of the workshop is to equip service providers well and also enable them to face the challenges effectively and efficiently against the backdrop of the rapidly changing market scenario.

In his speech, Laxminarayana, group general manager (projects) of MRPL, expressed the hope that the workshop would be an informative session, as it casts light on the various aspects of development.

Pointing out that ”developing out of the box thinking" could be an effective means of thinking to face the challenges in a new way, he declared "Customer is god and a provider must be ready to meet his expectation."

Moreover he opined “A provider must envisage the expectations of customers and accordingly fulfill it at the earliest, this could be an effective way to do business." he added.

A paradigm shift in the customer and provider relationship has today really forced providers to change their mindset to suit themselves in the rapidly changing market scenario, and thereby give a stiff challenge to business opponents, he averred.

Dr Hareesha Iddya, advisor of DIR, New Delhi, Dr Shankara Tyer, vice-president (R&D) of city-based Sequent Scientific Ltd, office bearers of KCCI and others were present on the occasion.
