Entry intro Telugu filmdom not planned: Nivetha

Chennai, Dec 31 (IANS): Actress Nivetha Pethuraj, who will commence shooting for her maiden Telugu film from January next year, says she had never planned to enter the industry.

"My focus was on the two Tamil films I'm currently working on. It was never on my agenda to venture into Telugu industry. However, when this project came my way, its story really caught my attention and I didn't want to miss the opportunity," Nivetha told IANS.

Having made her acting debut earlier this year with Tamil romantic-drama "Oru Naal Koothu", she is paired with Sri Vishnu in her yet-untitled Telugu film.

"It's a romantic-comedy, and I'm thrilled to be associated with a young team. When I spoke to the director, I could sense a lot of positivity. We start shooting from January 18 next year," she said.

To be produced by Raj Kandukuri, the film will be directed by debutant Vivek Athreya.

Talking about her Tamil projects which include Udhayanidhi Stalin's "Podhuvaga En Manasu Thangam" and Jayam Ravi starrer "Tik Tik Tik", she said she's excited about both the projects.

"Nearly 60 per cent of Udhay's film is complete and we still have another 20 days of shoot. The regular shooting of 'Tik Tik Tik' will commence from March-end next year. We will shoot for 40 days non-stop," she said.
