Mumbai, Jan 2: Brahmins who had migrated to Mumbai nine decades ago and launched BSKBA (Bombay South Kanara Brahmins Association) in 1925 and Gopalakrishna Public trust (GPT), shifted the idol of Gopalakrishna to Balalaya in Navi Mumbai on Saturday December 31. The shifting was carried out due to the reconstruction of Gokula and a full fledged auditorium.
Vice president Vaman Holla and P Umesh Rao, honorary chief secretary P C N Rao, honorary treasurer CA Haridas Bhat, joint secretary Chandrashekar Bhat and Prashanth Herle, women's section president Shailini Rao, Gopalakrishna Public trust's honorary chief secretary and trustee A S Rao, trust committee members B Ramananda Rao, Ashraya leader Chandravathi Rao, former president K Subbanna Rao, working committee members P V Aithal, H B L Rao and hundreds of devotees participated in the programme.
