Mangaluru: ISKCON to host Ratha Yatra in city

Mangaluru Jan 5: International Society for Krishna Conciousness (ISKCON) Sri Jagannatha Mandir Kudupu Katte will celebrate the 'Ratha Yatra' on January 7 at CV Nayak Hall Mangaluru, informed a senior devotee of the temple, Avadhu Chandra Das, here, on Thursday, January 5.

Addressing media persons at Press club, he said “ISKCON Sri Jagannatha Mandir is conducting Ratha Yatra for 11th time in Mangaluru and over thousands of devotees from across the world including devotees from Canada, Russia and America will take part in it”.

“Rathayatra will be inaugurated by ISKCON  governing body commissioner, Jayapataka Swamy Maharaj. Bhanu Swamy Maharaj and Bhakthi Raghava Swamy Maharaj will also be present at the celebration."

“The Rathotsava will start from CV Nayak Hall towards Bunts Hotel Circle then will proceed via Jyothi Circle to KS Rao Road, then towards City Point, then to PVS Circle and Bunts Hostel Circle and will finally culminate at CV Nayak Hall.”

President of the temple Ramdaas Prabhu, vice president Smitha Krishna Das and Govinda Prabhu were present.
