Dubai - Feb. 02: In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum issued a decree appointing Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Crown Prince of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed also issued another decree appointing Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Deputy Rulers of Dubai.
The decrees are effective from Friday, February 1,2008 and will be published in the official gazette.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid AI Maktoum is the Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council which is entrusted with the task of overseeing Dubai Government entities. Under his leadership, the council has achieved a number of significant milestones, including the announcement of the Dubai Government Strategy in February 2007, which lays the roadmap for the Emirates development.
