My source of inspiration is Aamir Khan: Param Singh

Mumbai, Jan 7 (IANS): Actor Param Singh says he is taking inspiration from Bollywood's perfectionist Aamir Khan for his role in TV show "Ghulaam".

He says portraying an anti-hero turned out to be extremely challenging for him.

"Ghulaam", which will go on air on Life OK from January 16, is a saga of Rangeela an anti-hero, who is fearless, ferocious yet a man puppet in Berahampur. It tells of the journey of Rangeela who will fulfil any wish of his master Chaudhuri Veer, even if it means giving up his own life.

"From boy-next-door to an anti-hero with intense action sequence has been extremely challenging. My source of inspiration is the one and only Aamir Khan and the co-incidence being my character's name is Rangeela and the show's name is 'Ghulaam', both so strongly linked to him. So I have some very big shoes to fill," Param said in a statement.

Talking about the show, producer Saurabh Tiwari said: "When everyone is adding variety from kitchen politics to nagins, I am very excited to create a differentiated yet realistic content which shall change the rules of television."

Actors Vikas Manaktala, Bhagwan Tiwari and Niti Taylor are also part of the show.
