One more molestation case reported in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jan 7 (PTI): In the fourth such incident in a week, two motorbike-borne men allegedly tried to molest a woman while she was returning home from a gym here.

The two men apparently followed the victim and pulled her T-shirt at which she screamed for help, forcing them to flee in panic after seeing some people, police said.

The incident happened on January 4 and the woman has lodged a complaint with the police, who have registered a case under IPC section 354 relating to assault or criminal force to a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty.

This has come as another shocker in Bengaluru where public anxiety and anger are mounting over such incidents, raising concerns about women's safety in the country's IT hub.

A woman was allegedly assaulted near her house early yesterday when a man stalked her while she was headed towards a bus stop on a deserted road and tried to molest the victim who suffered injuries on her lips, tongue, hand and toes as she tried to resist him.

Another woman was groped and assaulted by two scooter-borne men near her house in Kammanahalli on New Year's eve. Five persons have been arrested in connection with the case.

On New Year's eve, several women were allegedly molested and groped on MG Road and Brigade Road where the revellers had gathered, despite the presence of more than 1,500 police personnel, an incident that led to a national outrage.

jeevan, partly we have to blame the government or law enforcement Agency and police security. The major chunk in that direction goes todays youths lack of perception towards opposite sex. Let them learn to respect women as they respect their own loved ones. Lack of self-conscience and ethics have crossed all the limits and there is no swift action, warning and severe punishment from the police.

String of horrific incidents happening in Bengaluru.Looks like law & order has gone for a toss.Atleast by now the Judiciary should implement strict punishments w/o unnecessary delays.Nab the culprits and send them to asylum for good 20-25 years so no one dares to commit such acts in future.

Do we have a Govt in Karnataka? Where is the law and order ???????Where is the HM? Siddu is behaving like he knows nothing. His sachivas are more interested in an useless exercise of protesting against demonetization .They want to secure their depleting vote bank rather than looking after their own citizens.

It is not correct to say total failure. After repeated molestation cases, it is an indication that, this is a deliberate act to bring down bad image to ruling party. Somebody is behind the scene desperately trying to bring down the current government. Otherwise, if one case we can understand, repeated cases and no fear of consequences.

it is too early to say who is behind the scene.

Is there any government in Karnataka? Ministers busy in giving excuses for these type of incidents or busy in useless bhagyas. What is happening in Karnataka? If Karnataka government cannot control these type of incidents then better to resign. We don't want useless government.
